As a healthcare volunteer at a local clinic, you will observe the work of doctors or other members of the staff, you will help them according to your Spanish level, your skills in the medical field and availability of patients. Participants on our programs provide hands-on help, tackling real-world problems with healthcare in Guatemala. You will help taking blood pressure, temperature, weight and more. During your hands-on learning experience, we encourage you to be proactive

We offer an extensive range of physical therapy volunteering work in Antigua Guatemala, you will work alongside local physical therapists in a variety of special needs care homes, clinics, work with the elderly or be part of a Physical Therapy Campaign. The scope of volunteer work available depends on your skills, experience and qualification levels. Once your application has been submitted, your Program Manager will work with our local team to organize a physiotherapy placement that’s best suited to you.

You will work alongside Antigua's heroes, these guys take their job seriously, not only do they work as paramedics but they must also work as firefighters. Providing emergency medical care is a sensitive matter, and the people who take on these jobs need to be ready for its physical, mental and emotional challenges.
