I Am The Seed

The evidence shows that an adolescent mother who suffered violence will not have the same opportunities throughout their life for insertion in the job market.

The evidence shows that an adolescent mother who suffered violence will not have the same opportunities throughout their life for insertion in the job market. Therefore, she will not achieve financial independence. Becoming a teenage mother will increase her dependency and inactivity in work terms and places her mainly in the involuntary caregiver role within households, low-paid manual labor, and even prostitution.

We must strengthen children’s and teenager’s development to ensure psychological, physical, and permanence in the educational system.

Our entrepreneurship program will provide the necessary tools to single Guatemalan moms.

These tools will:
  • raise awareness
  • provide training and connect them with all the crucial resources to succeed and thrive.

After each participating beneficiary completes her business model, we will provide them with seed capital to start her own business.

Without your help, more children and teenage mothers are at risk of becoming low pay manual labor and sexual exploitation victims. They will suffer irreversible psychological damage that will affect them and their families for the rest of their lives. Our expertise and background in entrepreneurship, social media development, social work, and your financial support place our program as a model to be followed by other organizations.
